Hello and welcome to my page~ My name is Larisa--a very common Slavic name that was either derived from the Latin word hilaris, meaning "cheerful," or from the Greek city of Larissa, meaning "strong fortress." Born in Ukraine, I emigrated with my family to America when I was still a small child and now make my home in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Growing up immersed in two vastly differing cultures led me to have a burning curiosity about people all over the world. Stemming from said curiosity, I have fallen in love with traveling to other countries, meeting new people and delving into their culture, exploring new cities, and of course, dining on the local cuisine! If I cannot escape into a different country, then my next favorite method of adventure is to lose myself in a spectacular book. I enjoy books of all genres--from fiction and novels, to biographies and ethnographies. As long as it captures my fancy and holds me spellbound the entire time, I will burn through the book like a forest fire! Because of this penchant for reading and travel, coupled with my love of deep and mysterious things, I have been often called a dreamer and I find the title suits me. With that being said, I invite you to stay a while, perhaps make yourself a cup of tea and linger through my posts and feel free to comment or share a thought :-) View all posts by ebonyandcrows

That put a smile on my face, Larisa. But, truth be told, that was the *only* thing that I’ve liked this year that had snow in it. 😀

Your comment put a huge grin on my face in turn 😁 We gotta work with what we get, right? So if life gives us snow, go snowboarding 🤗🏂🤙🏻

Thanks Simon! Whenever I rewatch my snowboarding videos, I NEED to be on the mountain again haha. I’m always so excited to go, it is so much fun when you start learning how to actually carve 👌🏻

When will you go next? Will there be more videos?

Haha I have more videos in my camera roll 😁 Your comment made me laugh! I have no problem sharing more videos ☺️I think my friends are trying to go on either Saturday or Monday again but I have been so non-stop busy (I take horseback riding lessons too and also work out at the gym 5 days out of the week, coupled with all my other life stuff) that I might just need to stay low this weekend to catch up on sleep and “me” time. I will see what the week ahead brings.

I’m sending all of the adventurous vibes your way, Simon! Sometimes I feel like there is not enough time in the world to do all the things. I can’t handle being locked away, it feels like I am being imprisoned in my mind as well as outwardly.

Wow those lights towards the end were so cool. Man, I’d love to be there! This was such a fun post. Hope you’re doing well, Larisa! Miss you ❤️🌹

Isha!! I saw that Drew featured you in a YouTube-cast but there was nowhere to post a comment. I plan to listen to it, I just haven’t had the time yet. But I am looking forward to it!! The funny thing about those lights is that I only noticed them when I watched the video. I was like, “what are those? 🤔” They look awesome, but I was so focused on carving when I was on the mountain, that I didn’t notice there were spotlights or somebody’s flashlight shining around. They make the video look cool though, haha! Thank you girl, I’d love for you to be there too, how fun would that be!! ♥️

Hey if I was having that much fun, I wouldn’t notice the lights as well! 😂 The whole video is so pretty!
Yes, the comments…there seems to have been a glitch in my WP which is why it even got posted multiple times before I gave up. 😩
I let myself indulge in the fantasy of snowy landscapes and fun! Anything to escape work at present ❤️😁

Ahh we are synchronized! I just finished listening to your interview in Drew’s YouTube channel and posted a comment on there! You have such a beautiful and soothing voice!! You are meant to recite poetry and speak on airwaves. I was laying on the floor of my room, stretching, and felt like I was being carried on a lullaby listening to you recite your beautiful poem.

I think I’m floating now, or perhaps snowboarding, hehe in a world of my own, right now! Thank you for your words, Larisa. Appreciation means a lot when it comes from an artist I admire 💕
I felt guilty when I read about the stretching part though, having neglected my workout for quite some time now. 🤭 ❤️

I just started working out about a month ago and am paying for a nutrition plan from bodybuilding .com because I hadn’t worked out in 2 years 😭 Believe me, I’m no paragon when it comes to keeping up with my fitness lol!

Oh my goodness, I saw that I had a comment pending and then saw this!! I’m so sorry for the late response, Isha!! Can you imagine, I just created an Instagram account like 4 days ago 😕 I don’t know how to feel about it. If you send me a message on my “contact me” page, it will send me an email to my inbox and I can respond from there 💗

Haha! How’s it going with Instagram? I keep swinging back and forth on making another account too, but am in hermit mode right now. None of my experiences have convinced me to stay.
Thanks for the info! Now I’ll know how to keep in touch in case I decide to take a long social media hiatus. 💕🤗
Hope you’ve been well, Larisa! ❤️

Hello my dear friend ♥️ I have been utterly absent from the blogosphere. Too deeply entrenched in the things going on in my personal life and the intense growth journey I’ve been in. Instagram is annoying lol, I’ve already had to deactivate it at least twice. But it helps that I keep my account private and vet who can follow me and who I follow and what i view, so that I don’t delete it out of anxiety. Although Instagram does allow me to keep in touch with some amazing people, so there is that blessing. How have you been, beautiful girl?
