Hello and welcome to my page~ My name is Larisa--a very common Slavic name that was either derived from the Latin word hilaris, meaning "cheerful," or from the Greek city of Larissa, meaning "strong fortress." Born in Ukraine, I emigrated with my family to America when I was still a small child and now make my home in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Growing up immersed in two vastly differing cultures led me to have a burning curiosity about people all over the world. Stemming from said curiosity, I have fallen in love with traveling to other countries, meeting new people and delving into their culture, exploring new cities, and of course, dining on the local cuisine! If I cannot escape into a different country, then my next favorite method of adventure is to lose myself in a spectacular book. I enjoy books of all genres--from fiction and novels, to biographies and ethnographies. As long as it captures my fancy and holds me spellbound the entire time, I will burn through the book like a forest fire! Because of this penchant for reading and travel, coupled with my love of deep and mysterious things, I have been often called a dreamer and I find the title suits me. With that being said, I invite you to stay a while, perhaps make yourself a cup of tea and linger through my posts and feel free to comment or share a thought :-) View all posts by ebonyandcrows
A beautiful white horse and a lovely woman. I do love horses — and I miss your posts, Larisa, when you disappear from time to time. Great boots.

Thank you Bill, this put such a smile on my face. Sweetie the horse is such a character, I just love her to pieces. I wish I had the capacity to create more and be more present, but in truth, it oftentimes takes all of me to simply be present in the world around me. Life can be so difficult like that. I love that you noticed my boots! They make me feel so ooh-la-la!

Larisa, your white horse looks so intelligent, and as I said, totally beautiful. There is no better friend in the world than a lovely animal, be it horse, dog, cat, tiger, elephant, and so forth.
You have a lot to offer life, I envy you your youth. Yeah, the boots are sharp!

I agree! I actually keep staring at her eyes in the pic where she’s looking at me because she looks so soulful.

A very beautiful horse.
White in colour like Napoleon’s horse Le Vizer.

A beautiful horse, and beautiful equestrian. BTW, and not that I’m staring, but what are those markings on your posterior for? 😀

Hahaha that made me laugh! Those markings are there to help grip me into the saddle. They go around the seat of the pants and on the inside of the legs. The other variation is just to have the grips on the inside of the legs only. Sweetie is an Arabian mare, and I’m not particularly fond of their face shapes, but I fell in love with this horse so she became the most beautiful little thing to me.

Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh why did you find this hahahaha *cries*
I am still upset at how the show went and I’ve filed it away in my mind in a place that I can’t access. I can’t even look over the recap because I wanted it to be different so badly, but it wasn’t. Yet another hugely disappointing thing to move past. I found it incredibly unfair to be paired with someone who had an advantage mentally over me and the other player. Although his advantage is actually classified as a disability, but it made him freakishly good with puzzles and riddles.

Yes, but I found it to be precious because I got to see and hear you. The game matters not. ❤️

It’s been a few years and I still can’t rewatch that episode. I feel like I’m revisiting a failure and it was such a disappointing one to me personally.
